Some patients who are receiving long term medication may be authorised by the doctors to have a repeat prescription. The left hand sheet of the prescription is used by the chemist to dispense the medication. The right hand sheet (request slip) is retained by the patient and used when medication is next required.

Please give at least 2 working days notice for the prescription to be ready at reception and longer if you require the pharmacy to collect it.
We do not take repeat prescription requests over the telephone.
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). A Prescription Prepayment Certificate (PPC) is a kind of prescription charge season ticket. It covers you for all of your own NHS prescription charges, no matter how many items you need.
The charge for a single prescription is £8.60 per item, whereas a three-month PPC will cost you £29.10 and a 12-month PPC is £104.00. To help spread the cost of a 12-month certificate you can pay by direct debit with 10 monthly instalments.
